The Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace is Monaco’s public hospital. Its chronology mixes institution (status, names) and built fabric (extensions, 21st-century rebuild): Memoria publishes here only what is dated and sourced on the CHPG site or in the Journal de Monaco.

Institution and names

From 1902 to today the establishment occupies the same site. It successively bore the name Albert Ier (1908–1958), then Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (1958). Law no. 127 of 15 January 1930 makes it an autonomous public establishment.

The « Nouvel Hôpital »

The NCHPG programme aims for an on-site rebuild without full closure, with an official timeline towards 2032. Figures (beds, theatres, parking) come from the establishment’s communication.

Memoria has not found in this collection the precise (day/month) date of the 1958 name change nor the architect of the 1958 building.
