Club des Supporters de Monaco
Supporters' association of the Monegasque football club, authorised in 1952 and accredited in 2010 — one of the oldest of its kind documented in the Journal de Monaco.
The Club des Supporters de Monaco is a supporters’ association for the Principality’s football club. Its authorisation dates from 14 November 1952 — making it one of the oldest supporters’ associations linked to a club in the region.
Seventy-three years of association life
The association was accredited in 2010: the accreditation decree expressly refers to the 1952 decree as the original authorisation. It is the only official link between the 1952 club and today’s — and Memoria flags it as such, without asserting a continuity no act explicitly establishes.
Memoria does not publish board members’ names: the acts consulted do not name them, and mere general meeting notices add nothing for the reader about the club’s or the Principality’s history.
Why it is archived
Supporters’ associations are usually invisible in archives: they own nothing, build nothing, yet they carry a club’s emotional memory. That Monaco’s has existed in a declared form since 1952 is a notable, datable fact.
The facts are paraphrased; only the source is cited. To suggest a correction, write to Memoria.
