Monaco Telecom — boutique de Monte-Carlo
Boutique of the Principality operator at 27 boulevard des Moulins, open in October 2023 after the closure of the showroom on the same street in 2021.
Monaco Telecom is the Principality’s telecommunications operator. Its Monte-Carlo boutique has occupied 27 boulevard des Moulins since October 2023; a second address, at 9 rue du Gabian, also welcomes professional customers. It is also at 9 rue du Gabian that the operator has its Tech Corner, an Apple approved service center.
What the sheet documents
The interest of this sheet is the sequence: a showroom closed on December 24, 2021 for lease reasons, then a store reopened two years to ten days later, a few dozen meters away, on the same shopping street. A directory would only have retained the current store; the archive preserves the interruption and the move.
Memoria specifies that the times cited date from 2023 and come from the local press: they have not been reconfirmed since, and the reader must check them with the operator.
Why we archive it
Boulevard des Moulins is one of the densest commercial streets in Monaco, and its windows change quickly. Documenting who moves there, who leaves and when, constitutes the commercial memory of a neighborhood - precisely what the directories do not keep.
The facts are paraphrased; only the source is cited. A correction? Write to Memoria.
