Banque Richelieu Monaco
Monegasque private bank renamed twice in ten years: KB Luxembourg (Monaco), then KBL Monaco Private Bankers in 2008, then Banque Richelieu Monaco in 2018.
Few Monegasque establishments offer such a clear chronology: in ten years this private bank changed its name twice, and each change was published in the Journal de Monaco.
KB Luxembourg (Monaco) became KBL Monaco Private Bankers in 2008, then Banque Richelieu Monaco in 2018, on decision of an extraordinary general meeting on 17 May, approved by ministerial decree. The record keeps all three names in order: that is what makes it possible to follow an establishment through group changes, where a directory would keep only the latest.
Published accounts as verification
The balance sheet as at 31 December 2025, published in the Journal de Monaco in May 2026, confirms the registered office at 8 avenue de Grande-Bretagne and capital of 27,400,000 euros. Memoria relies on these publications rather than banks’ commercial pages, which are not dated.
A methodological note
The CCAF classifies Banque Richelieu Monaco among deemed licensed credit institutions — i.e. operating in Monaco before 1 September 2001 and therefore without a licence number. Memoria uses this official wording rather than speaking of a non-existent licence.
A precision that applies to every banking record in this guide: the CCAF supervises credit institutions for their financial activities; banking operations fall under the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority.
