Journal de Monaco
Official bulletin of the Principality: first issue on 30 May 1858, institutionalised as the official journal by the 1962 Constitution, published every working Friday.
The Journal de Monaco is not a private newspaper: it is the Principality’s legal publication, where laws, ordinances, decrees, legal notices and National Council debates appear. Memoria lists it separately from commercial newsrooms because it is the primary source for most entries in the guide.
From l’Eden to the official journal
The Government recalls a direct line to the first issue of 1858, then titled l’Eden – Journal de Monaco. The 1962 Constitution makes it the official bulletin; content has expanded (legal notices, announcements, political life) while keeping a weekly schedule, now also available online.
The facts are paraphrased; only the source is cited. A correction, a missing date? Write to Memoria.
